21 Solar Panels Pv System - 10kWh Battery - on / off Grid system

Update : In 2024 I added more solar panels, I have now 21 panels (8.7kWp) and 10 kWh battery and installed a hybrid inverter. This will cover all my electricity needs all over the year. I designed the system to work off Grid auotmaticaly, when grid power goes off - back-up mode.

Old Solar PV System 2.4 kWp (now 8 kWp system)

My solar pv system has 6x400 Watts panels, total of 2.4 kWp. They are connected on a Solis 2.4 kW inverter - Solis. On this configuration I added a solar water diverion controller for hot watter - My Energi, Eddi.

This system save us about 70% of electricity a year and we have free hot watter in most of the days.

Hi, I’m Bogdan, and most people don’t know me. I’m a Romanian, born and raised in the city of Iași.

I completed university studies in law but never practiced. However, I have always been really interested in technology.

I have worked different jobs over the years: in insurance, owned an internet café /ISP provider, worked in building, office administration, was a network manager, ran a shop with my wife, did some accounting, installed solar panels and more.

Now, I have lived in Ireland for more than twenty years. At fifty years of age, after various activities , I decided to make some changes regarding life, work and other aspects.

This webpage will present some of my hobbies, interests and many things I have learned over the years.
